J. Ashley Keith, D.V.M. M.B.A., MEcon

Dr. Keith is an Honor Graduate of Eastern Kentucky University (Chemistry and Biology) and Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed Master’s degree work at The College of William and Mary. Additionally, he has an M.B.A. and a Master’s Degree in Economics. His professional interests are: Eye Disease and Surgery, Cardiology and Reptile Medicine.

Outside the office, Dr. Keith enjoys racing bicycles, marathons, Ironman triathlons, tennis, reading, music and spending time with his children (Harrison, Ellen And Mary Ryan)

Additionally, he has served on many boards including the Lexington Humane Society, the Woodford Humane Society, Boy Scouts of America, and Woodford County Hospital, He has coached many youth sports and taught many fitness courses.

Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Woodford Health Foundation, is on the Board of Directors for Woodford County Parks and Recreation and teaches triathlon courses and SPINNING classes. He is married to Laurie Ann Whelan.

Heidi Ball, D.V.M.

We Welcome Dr. Heidi Ball. Dr Ball will be helping us occassionally and are fortunate to have her on our team. Dr. Ball received her B.S. degree in Economic Biology from Clemson University and her Veterinary Doctorate form the University of Florida. She has practiced companion aninmal medicine in New York, Florida, and California prior to her move to Versailles. Her husband is also a Veterinarian and specializes in Equine Reproduction. She enjoys swimming, driving her Morgan Horse in competition. She has 2 adult daughters and a multitude of family pets.


Tonia Porter
Office Director

Tonia is the Office Manager and has been with our practice since 2007. She enjoys her family and spending time on the family farm where she raises Angus cattle with her husband Barry. Tonia’s pet family includes a German Shepherd (Chief) and Pollie, a Shih Tzu. She enjoys gardening, decorating and shopping in her free time.


Mary Ann Mackovich
Veterinary Nurse

Mary Ann has always loved working with animals. She began working for animal shelters in her home state of Pennsylvania in 1984. In 1990, she became involved in training Thoroughbred racehorses, which brought her to Kentucky in 1995. She retired from working with large animals and came to work for us at Crossroads in August, 2002. Mary Ann has a family that includes 2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 birds and a tank full of fish. Mary Ann has Semi-Retired and we still get to have her expertise on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.


Ally Scott
Veterinary Nurse

Ally joined the hospital in 2013. Before that, she spent time studying animal husbandry in high school. She shares her home with her fiancĂ©’ Mark, a young daughter and son. She has 3 cats – all of whom are very spoiled. Outside the office, Ally enjoys her kids’ activities, playing softball and reading.


Tiffany Polk
Veterinary Nurse

Tiffany began working at CVC in March 2013. She graduated from UK in 2002 with a B.S. in Animal Science. Prior to her recent move to Versailles, she worked as a groomer/ veterinary assistant in her hometown of Campbellsville. Tiffany and her husband, Sam, have 2 young children, Parker and Keeley. They also have a Golden Retriever named Wags and a poodle named Dez. Tiffany enjoys running, hiking, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.


Kelsey

Kelsey grew up in Owensboro but has lived in Lexington and now Versailles. She is an animal lover at heart and being a veterinary nurse is her dream job. She accepted her first position in the veterinary field in 2004 and has since refined her skills through years of experience. Kelsey and her husband Derek have two young children and their pet family includes a 13 year old Dachshund (Izzy). Outside the office, Kelsey enjoys shopping and baking.


Nikki

Nikki grew up in Versailles and has been working in the animal field for most of her adult life including a stint at the Woodford Humane Society. Nikki has a middle school daughter and shares her home with a sweet orange tabby cat (Harry). Nikki enjoys spending time with her family when not at work.


Paige

Paige has been working with animals for over 8 years. Her first job was in a veterinary clinic and she has stayed in the field ever since. She has 5 pet family members: a bearded dragon, an Australian Shepherd, 2 cats and a rabbit. Outside the office, Paige enjoys being very involved in the Children’s Ministry at Versailles Baptist Church and spending time with her family. She and her husband Brian have a 7 year old daughter and are expecting a baby in October 2018!
